Instrument Design Engineer

Jamal Engineering Office is seeking a qualified Instrument Design Engineer with strong Design  experience in Petrochemical Industries to join our team Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia.

Position: Instrument Design Engineer
Experience: Minimum 7+ years 
Location: Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities:

As an Instrument Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing instrumentation engineering designs and detailed drawings for oil, gas, and industrial projects.

  • Developing instrument index, I/O lists, cable schedules, and hook-up drawings.

  • Preparing P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) and ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.

  • Assisting in selection, sizing, and specification of instruments and control systems.

  • Coordinating with process, piping, and electrical teams to ensure design accuracy.

  • Reviewing vendor drawings and performing technical evaluations.

  • Supporting site teams during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Control Engineering (or related discipline).

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation design (preferably in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects).

  • Strong knowledge of ISA, IEC, NEC, and Aramco standards.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools), or similar software.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
